Awarded annually to incoming freshmen at the Bloomington campus who have demonstrated high academic ability, have maintained a minimum 3.6 GPA on a 4.0 scale, are Indiana residents, and have demonstrated exceptional ability in the areas of music, art, or writing. Recipients shall be hardworking and articulate with a pleasing personality and the maturity, common sense, sense of humor, perseverance, curiosity, globally minded, and initiative to succeed and enjoy Indiana University. The Donors have a preference that this Scholarship be awarded to women. Financial need shall not be considered when selecting recipient(s). The amount of the Scholarship will be equivalent to the tuition, fees, books and supplies, room, and board for a full-time (12 credit hours) undergraduate resident student at the campus where the recipient is enrolled. Recipients may apply the Scholarship to costs associated with participation in an IU-approved study abroad program. The number and recipient(s) of the Scholarship will be determined by the Scholarship Committee of the Foundation (the “Scholarship Committee”). Recipients of the Scholarship shall be known as Christine Marie Jegen Scholars.
