IUIN-Dart-Opie Award for Excellence in Child/Adolescent Mental Health Research (Nursing)

Overview:

The Dart-Opie Award for Excellence in Child/Adolescent Mental Health Research was established by Nancy D. Opie. This award recognizes and encourages excellence in research related to the mental health needs of children and adolescents.

Eligibility:

Applicants must:

  • Be a graduate or PhD student in the School of Nursing at IU Indianapolis
  • Have a GPA of 3.5 or better
  • Have evidence of significant contribution of service to the community or IUSON while in the PhD program (e.g., active member of professional nursing org; provider of voluntary service to a community agency; presenter of research findings or workshop at a relevant local or regional agency or conference.)

Awarding:

This scholarship will be awarded and disbursed in either the current or upcoming academic year.

Renewability:

This scholarship is not renewable, but applicants may receive it more than once.
