It is the intent of the Donors, and the Foundation agrees, that income from this gift be used to support annual scholarships for a minimum of $500 to students seeking a baccalaureate or advanced degree in Nursing at Indiana University Kokomo who are in good academic standing within the Nursing Program. Preference will be given applicants who meet one of more of the following criteria: employees of Community Howard Regional Health, students interested in the fields of cancer research or oncology, and/or applicants in clinical classes who have exhibited quality of caring and sharing of self as well as continual learning skills developed through self-taught or formal education processes. Selection criteria will include student content knowledge and professional knowledge in the field on Nursing, including but not limited to the professional and courteous care of patients in the hospital setting. Scholarships may be renewable. The number, amount (s), and recipient(s) of the Scholarship will be determined by the Scholarship Committee of the Nursing School at IU Kokomo.
