IUB-Stephen F. Cohen Chair in Russian History

It is the intent of the Donor Advisors, and the Foundation agrees, that income from this gift be used to support a chair in Russian History in the Department of History within the College of Arts and Sciences . The recipient will be appointed by the Executive Dean of the College in consultation with the Chair of the Department. The recipient will be appointed for a five-year term and may be renewed at the discretion of the Executive Dean of the College in consultation with the Chair of the Department. Expenditures may include, but are not limited to, a salary or salary supplement for the designated holder of the Chair, support for research, conference or research-related travel, manuscript preparation, undergraduate or graduate research assistance, library and equipment acquisitions, and other requirements of an active scholar and teacher in accordance with guidelines and procedures established by the College, Indiana University, and the Foundation.
