IUI-LFSOP Thomasson Scholarship (Philanthropy)

Thanks to a generous gift from the Thomasson family, we are pleased to offer undergraduate students the opportunity to apply for an all-encompassing, up to four-year scholarship that is equivalent to the cost of tuition and fees, room and board, and books, as well as support for a semester of study abroad. Students must participate in the Pitch Your Passion 5×5 (5 Slides x 5 minutes) Competition to be held on December 8, 2023. For more information, please reach out to Greg Rathnow at grathnow@iu.edu.

The amount of the scholarship will be equivalent to tuition and fees, room and board, and $2,500 toward a semester abroad, minus any other scholarships the recipient is receiving from any other source.

To be eligible for this opportunity you must:

  • Be a full-time undergraduate student as a first-time philanthropic studies major
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 from your most recent institution (high school or university)
  • Have less than 60 credit hours completed if you are a current university level student
  • Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher

After initial awarding, the scholarship will be renewed for the duration of a student’s undergraduate career – up to three consecutive years (maximum of four years/eight semesters total).
