IUI-Frances Dodson Rhome Scholarship (Liberal Arts)
Professor Emerita Frances Dodson Rhome served IUI for 17 years in the Department of English and the Women’s Studies Program (which has since been renamed the Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program). In 1973, Chancellor Maynard Hine appointed Professor Emerita Rhome as IUI’s first Affirmative Action Officer. Throughout her time at IUI, Rhome frequently gave back to her community.
