IUIN-Jay M Smith & Lucia Spears, M.D. Art Scholarship (Herron)

It is the intent of the Donors, and the Foundation agrees, that income from this gift be used to support scholarships for undergraduate students enrolled full-time in any area of study at Herron School of Art and Design who have a minimum GPA of a 2.3 on a 4.0 scale and demonstrate outstanding talent as determined by a scholarship committee of the School. Because, as part of its mission, Indiana University is committed to diversity, special consideration will be given to underrepresented populations, including but not limited to, financially challenged students, and/or students with diverse cultural experiences. The Donors have a preference for African American students who demonstrate financial need. The number, amount(s), and recipient(s) of the Scholarship will be determined by a scholarship committee of the School.
