IUIN-Charles O. McGaughey Scholarship
Overview
The Charles O. McGaughey Leadership Award is meant to recognize current students at IU Indianapolis, who have demonstrated leadership abilities, with an appreciation for basic American values, through a record of achievement in community services or service to IU Indianapolis. Juniors and seniors, for the next academic year, with at least a “B” GPA are encouraged to apply.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Have successfully completed two years of full-time enrollment
- Be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student (carrying 12 or more credit hours) on the IUI campus;
- Be pursuing their first undergraduate degree from IU Indianapolis;
- Have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Have demonstrated leadership abilities and an appreciation of basic American values as evidenced by a record of achievement through community service and service to the University;
- Have demonstrated an appreciation of the values of liberty and the democratic form of government and an appreciation of the importance of respect for others and for the diversity of our nation; and
- Have no criminal record.
- While preference will be given to students enrolled in the School of Science, the School of Liberal Arts, and School of Business, if you meet all other qualifications, you will be considered as a candidate.
