IUN-Lee C Strawhun Endowed Scholarship

It is the intent of the Donor, and the Foundation agrees, that income from this gift be used to support a scholarship for an undergraduate student in the School of Public and Environmental affairs at IU Northwest who has a minimum cumulative GPA of 3. 0 on a 4.0 scale, is a legal resident of Lake County, IN, and has attended at least one semester at IU Northwest. Preference will be given in the following order to a student who graduated from Hammond High School, Merrillville High School, or Crown Point High School in Indiana. The amount of the Scholarship will be equivalent to the cost of tuition, fees, and books. The Scholarship may be renewed provided the recipients continue to meet the criteria outlined above. The amount and recipient of the Scholarship will be determined by the Scholarship Committee of IU Northwest. If, in a given year, there are more than enough funds available to fully fund at least one Scholarship recipient, additional recipient(s) may be chosen that year to receive any excess income.
