IUIN-Outstanding English Major Award (Liberal Arts)

Overview:

The English Department honors an outstanding graduating senior within the major who has demonstrated consistent excellence in English studies.

The department bases its selection on superior scholastic achievement, faculty recommendations, and special contributions to the English Department.

Faculty nominate and select the recipient for this award; no student applications are accepted. Nominated students will be asked by the faculty member to submit a short statement of purpose.

Eligibility:

Applicants must:

• Be an undergraduate student majoring in the English Department program in the School of Liberal Arts at IU Indianapolis
• Have faculty support

Awarding:

This scholarship will be awarded and disbursed in the spring semester of the current academic year.

Renewability:

This scholarship is not renewable.
