IUB-John Barratt Patton Award
Recipients must be members of the professional staff of the Indiana Geological Survey or must be associated with the Indiana University Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, Bloomington campus, in either a faculty or student status. Awarded funds are to promote research on the geology of the State of Indiana. Written proposals, not to exceed two (2) pages in length, must generally indicate the nature and significance of the research and will include a tentative budget. The awards shall be made by a Committee composed of the Chairman, Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences and the Director of the Indiana Geological Survey. The number and amount of awards to be made shall be determined by the Committee making the award.
Publications resulting from research supported by the Fund shall acknowledge the support received from The John Barratt Patton Endowment Fund. Recipients of awards shall report the results of research supported by this Fund to the Committee that makes the awards from this Fund.
