IUB-Cox Scholarship Application
Welcome to the Jesse H. and Beulah Chanley Cox Scholarship Application for Indiana University Bloomington incoming first years. To be eligible for a Cox Scholarship, students must be Indiana residents and have financial need.
The Cox Scholars Program affirms and rewards the efforts of Indiana University students who have demonstrated the motivation and resourcefulness required for success through their part-time work, engagement in their community, and solid academic performance. Please complete and review this application. You are allowed to save your work and come back to finish it later. After your application has been submitted, any subsequent changes made to your application may not be reviewed by the awarding department. By completing this application, you are applying for the Cox Civic Scholarship, Cox Engagement Scholarship, Cox Exploratory Scholarship, and Cox Legacy Scholarship. You will be considered for all four of these scholarships throughout our selection process, including if you are selected for an interview. For your application to be considered complete, you must file your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with the federal government no later than the application deadline. - Please upload one document that outlines the amount of gross earnings that you, the student, received in the calendar year 2024. Please include official tax forms, such as a W2, for any jobs held during 2024. Alternatively, you can upload a payroll stub from either the end of December or the last paycheck you received in 2024 that clearly shows your Year-To-Date earnings. Please be sure to black out your Social Security or banking numbers so that they are not visible when you upload this document. If you completed work for which you did not receive a W2 of paychecks, such as babysitting, working on your family farm, etc., please include a spreadsheet with detailed descriptions of the earnings you received for this type of work.
