IUI-Jesse H. & Beulah Chanley Cox Scholarship

The Indiana University Foundation is pleased to offer a scholarship for working students through the generosity of Jesse H. and Beulah Chanley Cox.

Applicants must:

  • Enroll as a full-time undergraduate student (carrying 12 or more credit hours) on the IUI campus.
  • Be pursuing their first undergraduate degree from IU Indianapolis
  • Maintain a minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
  • Be a U.S. citizen and resident of the state of Indiana.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to funding their own education by working to contribute at least 25% of the standard cost of attendance.
  • Be a sophomore, junior or senior upon receipt of the scholarship.
  • Submit the FAFSA each year by 4/1.

Please note, Physical Education; and Engineering and Technology majors are not eligible for the Cox Scholarship.

  4. The Cox Scholarship has an eligibility requirement that a student is working to support their education each year as a recipient. Please submit a copy of W-2 or official documentation to verify you are working to earn at least 25% of the standard cost of Attendance, or a minimum of 300 worked hours during the year.

    You are responsible to check if the reference letter has been submitted. Double check the email address you enter, if an incorrect email is entered, there is no system error. You will be responsible to follow up with your reference and communicate with them about the request for a letter of recommendation.
