IUB-Libraries Student Worker Scholarship

IU Libraries is pleased to offer a $500 one-time scholarship, and a paid part-time job at the Libraries, to incoming first year undergraduate students. The scholarship will be provided at the beginning of the spring 2025 semester. Continuing your employment with IU Libraries is not contingent for receipt of the scholarship, although we hope you do. You must have a 3.0 GPA at the end of your first semester for scholarship selection. Your job at the Libraries is renewable each semester based on satisfactory job performance. Students typically work 10-20 hours a week, with the number of hours at your discretion. Preference will be given to students with financial need to help support them during their IU career.

  1. By checking this box, you are affirming that you are willing to work at one of the multiple IU Libraries’ service points or departmental units for between 10-20 hours a week, depending on scheduling and student preference. Part-time employment in IU Libraries is a requirement of the scholarship. This will entitle you to receive a one-time $500 scholarship. You must have a 3.0 GPA at the end of your first semester for scholarship selection. The position will also pay a minimum of $11/hour with opportunities to advance in pay as you grow and take on additional responsibilities.

If your application is chosen, the next step in the process will be a short 15 minute Zoom interview to allow us to learn about you and your relevant work skills, including any prior work or volunteer experience, teamwork skills, and other information that would make you a great candidate for this exciting new scholarship program.
