IUB-Friends of Anthropology Undergraduate Research Scholarship

This competitive scholarship/grant opportunity supports undergraduate students pursuing majors in Anthropology. All of the subfields will be considered. Awards of up to $1,000 are available for undergraduate students to fund on or off-campus research or study. Funds can be used toward fees and expenses associated with an individual research project or for attending a field or overseas study program between summer of 2023 and the end of June 2024

Applications are due during the spring semester.

Award rules
1. Student award winners will be required to attend the Anthropology department spring reception in order to receive the award.
2. Priority is given to students with demonstrated financial need, who have not yet received research funding from the department. If used for an overseas study program or field school, the award should be used to cover travel expenses and fees, not tuition.
3. Students may accept only one departmental award per project.
