IUB-Walter Salz Family Award Fund

It is the intent of the Donor that an annual award of at least $200 be made for the best essay written by an undergraduate or graduate student from any Indiana University campus on some aspect of the history of German Jews from the earliest times to the present day. It is proposed that in most years there will be no more than one award. The Committee, however, may divide the available monies to make awards, but no more than two in any one year, if two essays are deemed to be of equal quality. Student considered for the award do not have to be enrolled in a course offered by the German Department . It is suggested that the department give adequate advance notice to faculty and student of the availability of the annual award.
