IUB-John V. Gillespie Memorial Scholarship

Recipients of this scholarship shall be outstanding advanced graduate students in Political Science who have demonstrated superior analytical abilities and research skills in positive political theory, mathematical modeling, or the use of quantitative methods to the study of political phenomena. Award shall be made only to candidates who have completed their comprehensive examinations for the Ph.D. degree. The award is to support work on the doctoral dissertation. Dissertation proposals shall serve as one of the bases for evaluating merit and making the award. Candidates are to be evaluated with reference to superior analytical capabilities and superior research skill.

About the Award: John Gillespie is an esteemed and respected former member of the Indiana University, Political Science faculty.
