IUN-William J. and Pamela A. Lowe Internship Experiental Learning Scholarship

It is the intent of the Donors, and the Foundation agrees, that income from the Gift be used to support scholarships at IU Northwest. Recipient(s) must be graduate students or full-time undergraduate students who are qualified juniors or seniors. Recipient(s) must apply through the IU Northwest Financial Aid Office’s application process, be in good academic standing as demonstrated by a minimum GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale, and demonstrate financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid. Preference shall be given to student(s) participating in an unpaid internship or experiential learning program and who have an internship in state or local government or GuideStar-Exchange-listed not-for-profits in Northwest Indiana. All internships must be approved by the Office of Career Services and involve substantive, supervised work related to the applicant’s academic major and/or area of concentration. The Scholarship is non-renewable. The Scholarship amount will be a maximum of $1,000. The number, amount(s), and recipient(s) of the Scholarship will be determined by the Career Services Scholarship Committee. Applicants will be required to submit an essay for consideration by the scholarship committee; the topic of the essay will be determined by the committee.
