IUB-Donald D. Martin Memorial Scholarship

Awarded annually to an IU-Bloomington undergraduate who is interested in attending law school, academically strong, and will be a junior or senior in need of financial support, the Donald D. Martin Memorial Scholarship memorializes Judge Donald D. Martin, a graduate of IU’s Law School in 1955.

Judge Martin had a long career practicing law in Indiana while mentoring several generations of lawyers who learned and honed their skills under his patient and professional demeanor. He believed in serving and showing gratitude toward others, was a member of the Indiana Bar Association, served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of WWII. Judge Martin was grateful for his scholarship assistance while in law school, and so his family has honored him by supporting academically strong IU juniors and seniors interested in attending law school and in need of financial support.
