IUIN-William M. Plater General Studies International Scholarship (Liberal Arts)

Executive Vice Chancellor and Dean of the Faculties Emeritus William M. Plater is a strong advocate for IU Indy’s non-traditional students. This scholarship was created in his honor. This scholarship will be given to a student enrolled in the General Studies Degree Program within the School of Liberal Arts who have an interest in adding an international educational experience to their portfolio while pursuing their undergraduate degree. Should no applications for international experience be submitted by the posted deadline, the committee may select a qualified candidate requesting a domestic experience outside Indiana.

The recipient should desire to add an international educational experience to their portfolio during undergraduate student years and have clearly defined career goals and objectives. A record of academic excellence with a GPA of 3.0 or higher is required.
