IUIN-Sutton Scholars International Experience (Liberal Arts)
The donors to this scholarship wish to mark the retirements of Professor Robert Sutton, Classical Studies, and Professor Susan Buck Sutton, Anthropology, and to celebrate their significant contributions to their departments and the School of Liberal Arts, IU Indianapolis, and Indiana University. This scholarship is to help support international study of Liberal Arts students.
The Sutton Scholars International Experience is to provide support for international educational experiences for students engaging in social, cultural, and/or historical academic endeavors. The recipient will be an undergraduate or graduate student, enrolled in the IU School of Liberal Arts at IU Indianapolis who currently have a GPA greater than or equal to 2.75 out of a 4.0 scale. Applicants must have a faculty letter of recommendation.
To be considered for the Sutton Scholars International Experience, submit an essay that describes how you anticipate this international experience will enhance your social, culture, and historical understanding of the world and your potential career goals. (500 words maximum)
