IUPUI-SHJ Paw's Pantry Scholars (Service Learning)
As part of the Sam H. Jones Community Service Scholarship Program, Paw’s Pantry Scholars assist the Office of Student Advocacy and Support to oversee the operations of the on-campus food pantry that provides food and toiletries to all IUPUI students, faculty, and staff. Undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled full time are eligible to apply. There are four positions available; Chair, Vice Chair of Donations, Vice Chair of Marketing, and Vice Chair of Volunteers.
All Paw’s Pantry Scholars must:
• Represent IUPUI in a positive manner while serving, planning, and facilitating all activities
• Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.75
• Maintain ongoing and open communication with Program Director through emails, phone calls and or/meetings
• Attend semester retreats
• Attend weekly committee meetings
• Complete an average of 10 to 13 hours of service (Chair position), or an average of 5 to 8 hours of service (Vice Chair positions) each week
• Serve in the pantry 6 times per semester
• Fulfill any other duties and obligations as given by the Program Director
