IUB-Stuart Singer Debate Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded by the O’Neill School to undergraduate and graduate students who are participating in IU’s debate team. Students must be strong debaters(as demonstrated through clear records of leadership and involvement in debate events in high school or university) and have financial need. Students must also have strong public speaking and writing skills.

    • 1. Please submit a resume.
    • 2. Please submit a 1-2 page essay with a detailed description of your current debate experience and projected future goals on the IU Debate Team. Describe how you will take on a leadership role and how the scholarship will help you succeed.
    • 3. A committee will evaluate our applicants and choose how best to allocate the scholarship. If you are chosen, to accept the scholarship, you will have to send an email to the donor, Stuart Singer, thanking him for the award.
