IUB-J. Douglas LaBarr Fellowship

It is the intent of the Donors that income from this gift be used to support Fellowships for students studying in the history of science, in ancient, medieval, or early modern science (i.e., up to 1700). The Fellowship shall be given to students who have been admitted to candidacy for the Department’s Ph.D. program at the post proposal dissertation stage and shall be a one-year Fellowship. The Fellowship money may be used for living expenses. It shall be possible to renew the Fellowship for a second year with evidence of sufficient progress in the recipients’ academic pursuits.
