IUB-Edward M. Dayan Scholarship in Jewish Studies

It is the intent of the Donor, and the Foundation agrees, that these gifts be used to support scholarships for students in the Robert A. and Sandra S. Borns Jewish Studies Program within the College of Arts and Sciences. Because, as part of its mission, Indiana University is committed to diversity, special consideration will be given to underrepresented populations, including but not limited to financially challenged students, and/or students with diverse cultural experiences. First preference will be given to students planning to teach Hebrew or Jewish Studies, and second preference will be given to Sephardic Jewish students who are planning to teach Hebrew or Jewish Studies. The number, amount(s), and recipient(s) of the Scholarship will be determined by the Scholarship Committee of the Program in accordance with guidelines and procedures established by the College, Indiana University, and the Foundation.
