IUIN-Hatcher Global Service Learning Scholarship (Institute for Engaged Learning)
The Hatcher Global Service Learning Scholarship at IU Indy provides support to undergraduate students to pursue international learning opportunities that blend academic study of global issues with civic engagement. The scholarship supports participation in an IU-approved, credit-bearing study abroad program that integrates service learning or an alternate form of civic engagement. Eligible study abroad programs may be of any length including semester, academic year, summer, or short-term study. The recipient must be in good academic standing and show demonstrated financial need. Additionally, the recipient must have prior community-engaged learning experiences as a college student (e.g., advocacy, community-engaged research, internship, service learning course, or volunteer experiences) and a letter of recommendation from a faculty or staff member.
