IUIN-P.E. MacAllister Political Science Scholarships (Liberal Arts)
Overview:
This scholarship was created by P.E. MacAllister, a prominent businessman, civic leader, and philanthropist to support undergraduate students who are majoring in political science or law and have demonstrated financial need. P.E. funded this scholarship in honor of his dear friend, Jim Morris, when he became heavily involved in Indianapolis politics in the 1960’s and met Jim Morris who served as former Mayor Richard Lugar’s chief of staff from 1967 to 1973. Currently, Jim is the vice chairman of Pacers Sports and Entertainment, and is especially important to us at IUI, as he serves on the IU Board of Trustees.
Recipient will be majoring in Political Science or Law in Liberal Arts in the IU School of Liberal Arts. Students must demonstrate academic excellence and preference will be given to those with financial need. The department bases its selection on superior scholastic achievement, demonstrated potential for intellectual growth, faculty recommendations, and special contributions to the Political Science Department.

Eligibility:
Applicants must:
- Be undergraduate students majoring in political science or law in the School of Liberal Arts at IU Indianapolis
- Demonstrate academic excellence
- Have faculty support
- Preference will be given to those with demonstrated financial need.
Awarding:
This scholarship will be awarded and disbursed in the upcoming academic year.
Renewability:
This scholarship is not renewable.
