IUIN-Donchin and Byrne Women's Studies Student Fund (Liberal Arts)
Overview:
Created in memory of Professor Emerita Anne Donchin, who was Edmund Byrne’s devoted life partner. Professor Emerita Donchin dedicated her life to empowering women and pioneered feminist bioethics. This scholarship supports liberal arts students who are doing research and/or projects on topics associated with Women’s and/or Gender Studies at IU Indianapolis.
Eligibility:
Applicants must:
- Be an undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in the IU School of Liberal Arts at IU Indianapolis
- Be participating in research or projects on topics associated with Women’s and/or Gender Studies at IU Indianapolis
- Submit an essay that includes a description of the applicant’s research or project and on how this scholarship opportunity will benefit the student’s personal, professional, and career goals. (maximum 500 words)
- Eligible expenditures may include, but are not limited to, presentation of research/projects at conferences and scholarship support for students who excel in this area.
Awarding:
This scholarship will be awarded and disbursed in the upcoming academic year.
Renewability:
This scholarship is not renewable.
