IUIN-Dolores J. and Giles R. Hoyt IUIN German Scholarship (Liberal Arts)

Overview:

This scholarship was created by Professor Emeritus Giles Hoyt and Associate Dean Emerita Dolores Hoyt to provide financial support and encouragement to students majoring, minoring, or pursuing a certificate or graduate degree in the German program with a preference for students who have a demonstrated financial need.

Eligibility:

Applicants must:

  • Be an undergraduate student majoring or minoring in German at IU Indianapolis
  • Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
  • Provide a personal statement of why they chose to pursue German
  • Request a letter of recommendation from a German professor
  • Preference will be given for students who have demonstrated financial need.

Awarding:

This scholarship will be awarded and disbursed in the upcoming academic year.

Renewability:

This scholarship is not renewable.
