IUB-David S. Hawes Award

Because the Donor as a teacher in the classroom, and as a teacher-stage director in the theatre, extolled the power of imagination and the joy of creativity, the Award shall be given to an undergraduate student of junior or senior class standing majoring in the Department; or to a student in the graduate program who has demonstrated exceptional creative work in playwriting, acting, or directing.
