Any Campus-Steve and Jan Viehweg Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Scholarship (Social Work)

Overview:

It is the intent of the Donors, and the Foundation agrees, that income from the Gift be used to support a scholarship for a graduate student in the School of Social Work on the Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, Lafayette, Southeast, or Direct campus who has an interest in pursuing a career in infant and early childhood mental health. The amount and recipient of the Scholarship will be determined by a scholarship committee of the School.

Eligibility:

  • Available to all students enrolled in 500 level classes and have not yet enrolled in 651/652.
  • MSWs: IU Indianapolis Direct, IU Indianapolis, IU Fort Wayne, IU Lafayette, or IU Southeast
  • Full-time or part-time enrollment

Awarding:

This scholarship will be awarded the following academic year for 2 semesters when the student is in their 651/652 practicum placement at a site focused on infant and early childhood mental health.

The Donors wish to encourage recipients to explore membership and endorsement through Infancy Onward, Indiana’s Infant Mental Health Association, or its successor organization.

Renewability:

This scholarship is not renewable.
