IUIN-Richard Emery Nickolson Scholarship (Herron)

Overview:

Est. 2010—Income to support undergraduate student scholarships, minimum of $500 each, given to full-time Herron students enrolled in Junior Painting who demonstrate outstanding artistic talent and growth, and whose work shows the potential for continued growth, as determined by painting faculty. Preference given to students who demonstrate financial need. Scholarship may be used to facilitate study in special summer programs, workshops and residencies such as but not limited to, the Pont-Aven School of Contemporary Art, the Ox-Bow Summer School of the Art Institute of Chicago, the Yale Norfolk Summer School of Music and Art and the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture.

Eligibility:

Applicants must:

  • Be a junior enrolled in the Painting program at Herron Indianapolis
  • Preference given to students who demonstrate financial need.

Awarding:

This scholarship will be awarded and disbursed in the upcoming academic year.

Renewability:

This scholarship is not renewable.
