IUB-Erna B. Rosenfeld Scholarship in Jewish Studies
Scholarships for undergraduate and/or graduate students in the Robert A. and Sandra S. Borns Jewish Studies Program within the College of Arts and Sciences who have a record of academic excellence as defined by the Scholarship Committees of the Program. Undergraduate students must be entering their sophomore, junior, and/or senior year, be pursuing an academic program in Jewish Studies, including, but not limited to, a B.A., certificate, minor, or the Jewish Sacred Music curriculum program, and be committed to enrolling in at least one antisemitism-related course or (a minimum of one credit) directed readings course during each year of support. Graduate students must be pursuing research/study of antisemitism during each year of support, with preference given to Jewish Studies master’s degree students or Ph.D. students. Scholarships may be renewed for up to three years for undergraduates and up to four years for graduate students at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee provided that recipients continue to meet the criteria outlined above. In the event that no faculty are teaching courses or can direct independent readings on antisemitism, the Scholarship may support students who are pursuing study and research of the Holocaust.

- Graduate students - please upload the following information in one PDF: 1) an explanation of research/study of anti-semitism project (2-3 paragraphs) and indication of its role in your degree progress, such as dissertation research, participation in scholarly conferences or workshops on anti-semitism language aquisition, etc. (1 paragraph); 2) how much funding you are requesting and for what semesters; 3) if applicable, a budget which may include airfare, transportation to airport, lodging, photocopies at archives; note total costs.

- Undergraduate students - please confirm that you are committed to enrolling in at least one antisemitism-related course or (a minimum of one credit) directed readings course during each year of support.
