IUIN-M. J. Faure Family Endowed Scholarship (Liberal Arts)
Overview:
This scholarship promotes and encourages the study of French language and literature. The M. J. Faure Family Endowed Scholarship was established by the late Louise Faure, a dedicated student of French in the IU School of Liberal Arts at IUI, to honor the memory of her father Marius J. Faure who immigrated to the U.S. from France in the early 20th century.
Eligibility:
Applicants must:
- Be an undergraduate French language and literature major in the School of Liberal Arts at IU Indianapolis
- Be juniors or first semester seniors (56-101 credits earned)
- Have a demonstrated interest in, and contribution to, fostering the study of French language, literature, and culture
- Have a GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 out of a 4.0 scale
- To be considered, applicants will submit a 300-word essay in their best French on what attracts you to the study of French (typed, double-spaced, do not include your name). Attach a cover sheet which includes your name, address, student ID#, and email address.
Awarding:
This scholarship will be awarded and disbursed in the upcoming academic year.
Renewability:
This scholarship is not renewable.
