IUIN-Brian McDonald Legacy Scholarship in Literature (Liberal Arts)

Overview:

The donors wish to honor students who best exemplifies the same values as Senior Lecturer Emeritus Brian C. McDonald, who lived an examined life with great integrity. These values shaped his enthusiasm for intellectual engagement and his deep love of literature. This scholarship is to support IU Indianapolis undergraduate students who have taken one or more literature courses offered by the English Department in the IU School of Liberal Arts at IU Indianapolis. Preference will be given to student with good academic standing who are pursuing a degree in the School of Liberal Arts.

No student application. Faculty nominated and selected.

Nominated students will receive an email notification requesting additional information to be completed by utilizing the One.IU scholarship management system.

Eligibility:

Applicants must:

  • Be an undergraduate student who has taken one or more literature courses in the School of Liberal Arts, IU Indianapolis
  • Preference will be given to student with good academic standing who are pursuing a degree in the School of Liberal Arts.
  • Have faculty support.

Awarding:

This scholarship will be awarded and disbursed in the upcoming academic year.

Renewability:

This scholarship is not renewable.
