IUIN-Friends of Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Scholarship (Liberal Arts)
Overview:
This scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate academic excellence in the Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program.
Eligibility:
Applicants must:
- Be an undergraduate student at IU Indianapolis
- Have taken a minimum of six (6) credit hours in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies by the end of the spring semester of the current academic year
- Have a strong academic record and interest in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies
- Have completed the Intention to Minor in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies form.
- Demonstrate financial need and/or provide a copy of your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- Provide an unofficial copy of your IU transcript
- Provide one (1) letter of recommendation concerning your academic performance and/or interest in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies
- Write a 2-3 page essay about women, Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, or topics of concern to women (double-spaced, including a reference/works cited list in acceptable format, if applicable)
- Well-supported faculty nominations will also be considered.
Awarding:
This scholarship will awarded and disbursed in the upcoming academic year.
Renewability:
This scholarship is not renewable.
