IUIN-James R. East Endowed Scholarship (Liberal Arts)
Overview:
This scholarship was created to recognize the 29 years of service by Associate Dean James R. East to the IU School of Liberal Arts at IU Indianapolis and to support and encourage former members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis (BGCI) to study in a degree curriculum in the IU School of Liberal Arts at IU Indianapolis.
Must have been a member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis (BGCI) to be eligible. A Committee composed of the Chair of the Scholarship Committee of the Board of Directors of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis and two members of the faculty and/or administrative staff of the IU School of Liberal Arts will select the recipient.
Eligibility:
Applicants must:
- Be an undergraduate student enrolled to study in a degree curriculum in the IU School of Liberal Arts at IU Indianapolis
- Have obtained a C+ (not C-) average GPA or higher in high school.
- Show demonstrated financial need
- Be able to show a likelihood of degree completion
Awarding:
This scholarship will be awarded and disbursed in the upcoming academic year.
Renewability:
This scholarship is renewable if grade average of B+ (not B-) or higher is maintained.
