IUIN-Psi Chi Scholarship (Science)
Overview:
Established by Deidre and Alpheus Bingham, the Psi Chi Scholarship is awarded to a member of the IU Indy Chapter of Psi Chi, a national honor society, who is academically strong and demonstrates outstanding leadership and service to the department, school, and campus, who excel academically and show promise of success in their future careers.
Eligibility:
Applicants must:
- Be a student enrolled in the IU Indianapolis School of Science psychology program
- Be working on their first undergraduate degree
- Have earned a minimum 25 credit hours of course work
- Have a minimum 3.00 overall GPA
- Have a minimum 3.50 GPA in psychology courses
- Be a US citizen or permanent resident.
- The recipient must also become or already be an active member of the IUI Chapter of Psi Chi, meeting the membership criteria established by the IU Indy Chapter.
Awarding:
The scholarship will be payable in two installments, one installment per semester. The second semester installment will be based upon the recipient’s continued, active membership in the IU Indy Psi Chi Chapter.
The scholarship will be awarded and disbursed to the next academic year, split between Fall and Spring semesters.
Renewability:
This scholarship is non-renewable.
