IUIN-Geography Alumni New Major Award (Liberal Arts)

Overview:

This award supports and encourages the study of Geography in the IU School of Liberal Arts at IU Indianapolis.

This award is given to the most promising new Geography major following an interview by Department faculty.

Eligibility:

Applicants must:

  • Be an undergraduate Geography major in the School of Liberal Arts at IU Indianapolis
  • Have one year of residence at IU Indianapolis
  • Have completed 9-18 credit hours in Geography by the end of the spring semester when selected.

Awarding:

This scholarship will be awarded and disbursed in the upcoming academic year.

Renewability:

This scholarship is not renewable.

Please submit an essay about your study of Geography in the School of Liberal Arts and your interest in how geographers look at economic, cultural, and social processes and goals to determine strategies for uses of resources as it relates to your future educational and career plans.
