  1. This scholarship is being offered by the School of Education. Please direct any questions to iuteach@indiana.edu.
    • 1. Are you participating in Global Gateways?
    • 2. Is your placement overseas?
    • 3. Will you be student teaching in Tanzania, India, or Kenya?
    • 4. Do you plan to student teach on the Navajo Reservation?
    • 5. Please submit responses to the following essay questions in no more than three typed pages. How will your participation in the program contribute to your professional and personal growth? Why do you believe that you should be selected as one of the recipients of a Global Gateway for Teachers Scholarship?

  2. Please submit two letters of recommendation that address the qualities and reasons why they feel that you deserve to receive a scholarship from the School of Education. You can submit the letters on your references’ behalf via file upload OR include their contact information. If you choose to include their contact information, they will be sent an email to submit the letter themselves. You only need to choose one option per letter

    At least one letter must be from IU Faculty.

    Each letter should include the recommender’s name and preferred contact email address.

    You are welcome to re-use recommendation letters as relevant to the prompt and opportunity for School of Education-specific scholarships.
