IUIN-Through their Eyes Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship honors the descendants of those with displaced ancestors who once called the Ransom Place & Indiana Avenue communities home.
Criteria:
- This scholarship is open to any incoming or current IU Indianapolis student whose family was displaced during the establishment and building of the downtown IU Indianapolis campus.
- Applicants will be required to submit an essay detailing their family’s affiliation with the noted communities and IU Indianapolis.
- Preference will be given to applicants who can demonstrate or provide evidence of their family’s affiliation to the Ransom or Indiana Avenue communities.
- A student must be enrolled in a undergraduate degree program and a minimum of 6 credit hours to be considered.
The award amount will be determined and offered based on enrollment level and need after other state/grant aid in the financial aid package.
