IUB-Project Lead The Way Scholarship
The Luddy School is offering scholarships to high school senior students who have enrolled in Project Lead the Way programs during high school and who select any Luddy School major on their application to IU Bloomington. Students who meet the following PLTW and Luddy admissions requirements are eligible for a scholarship of up to $2,000 per year, renewable for four years:
- Be admissible to Indiana University Bloomington
- Qualify for direct admission to any Luddy major
- Remain a Luddy major in good academic standing within the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering during their undergraduate education
- Have completed three or more courses in PLTW track and/or received the AP+PLTW College Prep Certificate
To earn the AP+PLTW recognition, the student must satisfactorily complete three courses in the pathway – one AP course; one PLTW course; and a third course, either AP or PLTW—and earn a qualifying score of 3 or higher on the AP Exam(s) and a score of Proficient or higher on the PLTW End-of-Course(EoC) assessment(s).

- Please respond to ONE of the following prompts in less than 400 words: 1. Think about the many technological advances in the world today. What excites you most? Please elaborate. OR 2. Choose a technological advance that is currently emerging. How will it change society? Please elaborate.
- Provide a personal statement explaining why you want to study your selected Luddy major (Computer Science, Data Science, Informatics, Intelligent Systems Engineering, or Cybersecurity & Global Policy) at Indiana University.
- Release of information and attesting/truth statement: I understand that informationabout my academic history and standing will be used in the process of evaluatingmy candidacy for scholarships and awards at the time applications are reviewed. I understand some awards may require additional application materials.
- Share any unusual circumstances, challenges, or obstacles that you have encountered in pursuit of your education and describe how you have overcome them.
