IUSB-Ilene G. and Richard D. Sheffer Rwandese Scholarship
This scholarship supports undergraduate students enrolled at Indiana University South Bend (“IUSB”) in a minimum of 12 credit hours with a minimum GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale. Children, grandchildren, nieces, or nephews of individuals whose families were part of the 1994 genocide in Rwanda and are now living in the Michiana area; Berrien or Cass Counties, Michigan or Elkhart or St. Joseph Counties, Indiana receive priority consideration. Relatives of Rwanda students who studied at Southwestern Michigan College or IUSB and moved back to Rwanda receive secondary consideration. The scholarship is renewable, provided the student continues to meet the criteria outlined above.
