IUB-Scott MacDonald Scholars Program

The MacDonald Scholars Program supports incoming IU Bloomington undergraduate students with a passion for civic engagement and a drive to create positive change in their communities and around the world. On campus, MacDonald Scholars connect with supportive staff members, community leaders, and one another through unique engagement opportunities. Scholars make a difference by completing a minimum of 280 hours of meaningful service every year, serving in the Bloomington community and in their home communities.

*Scholarship Details: *
Every academic year, a selective group of resident and non-resident students are awarded this scholarship. Awards vary from $20,000 ($5,000 annually for four years) to $36,000 ($9,000 annually for four years) based on residency. Eligible candidates must have demonstrated financial need, which will be verified through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Immigrants and children of immigrants are encouraged to apply for this scholarship.

Finalists who are selected to interview for the MacDonald Scholarship will be notified the week of 2/13. Interviews will take place on Friday 2/17 between 10am and 4pm EST
