IUI-Indy Chamber HobNob Policy Internship (O'Neill SPEA)

The Indy Chamber’s HobNob policy internship is offered annually to Paul H. O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs students with an interest in public policy, advocacy, political action and civic engagement during the Spring semester. Past HobNob Interns have gone on to become State Legislators, Presidential Management Fellows, and even Chief Policy Officer for the Indy Chamber. The recipient will be given the option of a 15 or 30 hour a week internship, which includes a $3,000 or $6,000 stipend depending on the hours worked. This internship will run January through April and includes exciting work at the Statehouse with the Indiana Legislative and Executive branches of state government, as well as valuable relationship management and policy research & analysis experiences. Due to the unpredictable nature of the legislative calendar and events, the intern is occasionally asked to be available some evenings Monday and Wednesday. The HobNob Intern is expected to attend the Chamber’s annual HobNob Event held each fall to be honored on stage and introduced to the Indy community as a new member of the Chamber team. Applicants may be subject to a background check and drug screening. For more information on the internship contact O’Neill Scholarships (oscholar@iupui.edu).
