IUB-Marcella Schahfer Gercken Band Scholarship

The Marcella Schahfer Gercken Band Scholarship is to recognize outstanding contributions to the Band from an undergraduate students.

Marcella Irene Gercken was born in Hammond, Indiana. She graduated from Hammond High School and Indiana University, where she won the Outstanding Band Woman Award. She was President of Tau Beta Sigma, an honorary band sorority, and President of District VII, Tau Beta Sigma.

Qualifications:

• Participate in a Band ensemble
