IUB-Maria Carlson Graduate Student Enhancement Travel Award

This award supports graduate students in the Department of Slavic and East European Languages and Cultures at Indiana University Bloomington who are pursuing a master’s or Ph.D. degree and seeking funding to attend professional conferences, meetings, workshops, or other academic and professional development events in North America.

Funding may be used to help cover travel-related expenses associated with participation in these events. All travel and event participation must support the student’s academic or professional development and receive approval from the Department of Slavic and East European Languages and Cultures.

Eligible activities may include:

* National professional conferences (such as AATSEEL, ASEEES, SLS, ATA, and similar organizations)

* Regional conferences and meetings

* Graduate student conferences

* Specialized workshops, training programs, and mini-conferences

* Language proficiency certification workshops (such as TORFL) and other professional development opportunities
